Claire and Elliott’s beautiful spring wedding was just amazing and I’m excited to share some of my favourite images from this very special day! They had their wedding ceremony at St John’s in Killingworth which is surrounded by woodland, filled with beautiful trees and lots of daffodils and bluebells. After a heartfelt ceremony witnessed by their nearest and dearest, and one of the longest, most enthusiastic confetti lines I’ve ever seen, the guests were whisked off in a vintage double decker bus to an exciting reception at The Parlour at Blagdon.
The Parlour is fast becoming one of my favourite venues to shoot. I love how they’ve opened up the outdoor space with the canopy, it’s intimate without feeling small and it’s the perfect size for guests to mingle and move freely without feeling too separated. From a photographic point of view, there are so many beautiful spots in and around the grounds to take portraits, I’ve had the pleasure of shooting several weddings here now and they’ve all felt unique and special!
I loved every one of Claire and Elliotts wedding details; gorgeous white and pink roses, bright pink bridesmaid dresses complimented with cornflower blue tie for the groom. Hand drawn illustrations and names of fells for the table centrepieces, pink silk chair wraps, and a classically perfect three tier wedding cake with floral details.
After their wedding breaktfast, the evening reception brought a new lease of life with more friends, Claire’s bouquet toss, toasted marshmallows and s’mores around the fire pits, cocktails and a dance floor so bouncing that every time I was about to pack up and go home, something exciting would happen and I’d find myself staying for another song!
